Freelance Photographer/ Videographer based in Amsterdam. Experienced in the field of advertising doing various jobs such as Photography, Videography, Light-Assistant, Photo-Assistant and Post-Production for clients such as McDonald’s, Rembrandthuis, Belastingdienst and CBR.

During my Fine Arts and Design studies at the Amsterdam University of the Arts, I was introduced to photography. After taking an elective course in analog photography, I was completely hooked. I left drawing and painting behind and focused entirely on photography and film. During my studies, I collaborated with institutions like the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, where I created short videos for the ‘Blikopeners’ events.

After graduating, I realized that while my arts education had provided me with a solid creative foundation, I still had a lot to learn about the technical side of the profession. That’s why I started working with Jaap Vliegenthart, a veteran in the advertising world. He took me under his wing and taught me all the tricks of the trade. This experience was incredibly valuable, not only in terms of technical skills but also in understanding people. How do you collaborate with clients, advertising agencies, and art directors? What is expected of you? How do you plan shoots, set realistic deadlines, and ultimately deliver top-quality results?

Additionally, during those six years, I developed a sharp eye for what works and what doesn’t, along with a matching opinion. I can see where things can be improved, and I have the skills to make that happen.
